Tunes for change is an industry wide initiative (similar to fair trade or common goal) where money that goes into the music industry from many different avenues such as streaming, music purchase, gig ticket sales and festival ticket sales, is put towards a charitable organisation decided by the artist themselves. The tunes for change logo would be featured on products or media that are paired with the cause so that people know that they are supporting worthwhile charities when they pay for the music that they love. There are many more facets to this idea described below, including a short promotional video explaining the idea in the form of an advertisement...
To accompany my pitch I produced a mockup of an app I would release for the tunes for change initiative. To do this I used adobe Xd to create and interactive model of the application, which would include a host of features such as being able to search for what charities are associated with certain artists, the amount of money raised for each charity, and other things such as the top songs in your country, and local gigs and festivals associated with tunes for change.
Tunes for change would aim to increase the positive impact that music can have on our world. Music is already a source of happiness for many people and I believe by using a portion of the worldwide profits made by the industry every year, that we can enact massive social change for the people who need it most.
